In Denial 17 February 2017
Lawyer and First Amendment absolutist Abigail Gersten confers with Holocaust survivor Nathan Gomrowitz, after he learns she’s to defend a Holocaust denier in court. The moral and ethical conflict that ensues concerns issues of history, memory, free speech, and how the stories we tell about ourselves determine who we are. The legal drama, written by Peter Sagal, unfolded in Hall Auditorium during Oberlin’s winter term. Professor of Theater Paul Moser directed a cast of six student and professional actors.
